Competing to Win
What’s amazing about the 12U squad is their ability to take feedback and improve continuously. They embrace challenges with open arms, learning from each game. Coaches emphasize sportsmanship and teamwork, and it’s heartwarming to see the kids support each other, both on and off the pool deck.
Tournaments provide a great platform for them to test their skills against various opponents, and their hard work is visibly paying off. Whether it’s their dribbling techniques or defensive strategies, you can see how their commitment is leading to progress!
The Grind of the 18U Squad
Meantime, our 18U squad has taken much needed breaks after the high school season, and come back focused and ready to grind. We've been building experience scrimmaging against local club teams as well as masters programs. These older players understand that practice is essential, and they are committed to sharpening their skills. Each scrimmage provides a unique set of challenges that push them to elevate their game even further. The players are dedicated to refining their strategies, working hard on their physical conditioning, and maintaining a winning mindset.
This phase is crucial as they prepare for upcoming competitive seasons. The experience they gain through tough matches against formidable opponents is invaluable. Each session serves as an opportunity for self-improvement and enhances team dynamics. It's not just about winning; it's about growth and persistence.
Looking Ahead
As both squads continue their journey, it's remarkable to see how far they have come. The 12U squad is setting an example for what dedication looks like at a young age, while the 18U squad is a testament to hard work and resilience. Both teams remind us that being part of a squad is about more than just the game; it's about the friendships formed and lessons learned along the way. With tournaments on the horizon and scrimmages in full swing, the future looks bright!
